Please read the text below and learn why this room was called the "Cushnie" Room

This large and beautiful new room was acquired in Brownlow house. It was decided to call it the
"H. A. Cushnie room".
The late R. W. Cushnie, MBE, JP was employed at Brownlow Headquaters for 43 years, most of which were as Imperial Grand Registrar, and it was mainly due to his untiring efforts that our Royal Black Institution is grounded on sound administrative procedures. This room in Brownlow headquarters is a fitting and lasting tribute to him and all the fine work he did.
